Brazilian Manchester City striker, Robinho has been arrested over allegations of a serious sexual assault in a nightclub.The Brazil international’s spokesman, Chris Nathaniel, confirmed Robinho met with police on Tuesday “as part of a criminal investigation” but said he denied any wrongdoing.
“We can confirm that Robinho met the police today, as pre-arranged and as part of a criminal investigation,He strenuously denies any allegation of wrongdoing or criminality and is happy to cooperate with the police if required further” Nathaniel said in a statement on Robinho’s personal website.
West Yorkshire police in northern England confirmed a man was arrested on Tuesday and was questioned in connection with a serious sexual assault in a Leeds nightclub on January 14.
