Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill may extend his search to the Spanish Primera Division for a new defender. The player that has been monitoring carefully is left back Roberto Canella from Sporting de Gijon.
The twenty-year-old Canella is a fast and attacking left back, He is rapidly moving up the international ladder.
He first represented Spain’s Under 19 side during the 2006/7 season before moving to the Under 21 side during the 2007/8 season.
